“If this were a lucid dream right now, I would…”

If there is one thing that developing a practice of lucid dreaming teaches and teaches well, it is the art of setting and following through on intentions, goals, and making the most of THIS VERY MOMENT!

The shoreline, as a metaphor for the meeting of two states of mind--conscious and unconscious, is the perfect spot for nautical talks of the lucid dream space. On Saturday August 11, let’s project ourselves straight to Cardiff Reef, where you will run into a group of new and familiar dream characters basking in the ocean breezes...chit-chatting about all things lucid.

Our theme is "Lucid Dreaming Goals and Intentions." So, if you knew you were dreaming, and that you had the potential to experience ANYTHING your heart desired within the safe confines of your boundless dreaming mind, what would you do? Consider what you'd like to explore in your lucid dreams or what you have explored in previous ones, so you can share with us.

This is a casual meet-up with no structured activity. But don’t worry…we won’t forget to remind you to do a re-reading state test when you encounter any of the classic beach-related dreamsigns. Shark sighting? Big ocean waves? You bet that's the right time to reality test!

Feel free to come at any time and hang out as long or as briefly as you like. Remember to bring your beach gear, grills, boards, and dreamy show-and-tell items for the group. If you plan to attend, it might help to coordinate bringing certain items in the comments. For example, one must-have item we could use a volunteer to bring is a large sun canopy.

You will likely find us by looking for dreamcatchers dangling from beach umbrellas. We should be somewhere between Tower 15 and the river mouth. If you are looking for the correct lot, you may want to type in Pacific Coast Grill into your GPS to make sure you find the right one because the parking lot entrance is right next to it. We will message those who RSVP in our Meetup group with a contact number in case anyone has trouble finding us. If you don't plan to come, please remember to cancel your RSVP so we know not to expect you.
